Privacy notice

Your data. Plainly.

What we collect when you register, why we need it, and how to get it changed or deleted.

Last updated: 26 October 2026

1. Who we are

Site Source is run by Site Source Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17366164). We are responsible for the personal data described here, and we handle it in line with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

For any question about your data, email admin@sitesourcenow.com. Site Source is for people aged 18 and over.

2. What we collect

  • Workers: your name, trade, email address, mobile number and postcode
  • Contractors: your company name, your name, work email address and the trade you need
  • Everyone: anything you send us, and basic technical data when you visit the site, such as your IP address and browser type

We also record that you agreed to this notice. Please don’t send us sensitive information, such as health details or identity documents, through the registration form.

3. Why we use it

We use your details to register your interest, to contact you by phone, text or email about Site Source before and at launch, to check that contractor companies are genuine, to reply to your messages and to keep the website secure.

Our legal basis is your consent for contacting you, which you can withdraw at any time, and our legitimate interests in running a safe, working service and answering your enquiries. We may also keep records the law requires us to keep.

When the platform launches we’ll give you a separate notice before asking for more information, such as right-to-work documents.

4. Who sees it

We don’t sell your data, and we don’t share it with other companies for their own use. Access is limited to the people who need it to run Site Source. We use trusted providers to host our website and run our email, and they handle data only on our instructions. We will share data where the law requires it, for example with a regulator or the police.

5. Where it’s kept

Our registration service is hosted in the UK. Some of our providers may handle limited data outside the UK. Where they do, it is protected by safeguards approved under UK law.

6. How long we keep it

  • Registrations: up to 12 months after launch if you don’t create an account, or sooner if you ask us to delete them
  • Messages you send us: up to 2 years
  • Security logs: up to 30 days

After that we delete the data or make it anonymous.

7. Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to how we use it, or to move it to another service. To use any of these rights, or to stop hearing from us, email admin@sitesourcenow.com. You can also reply “STOP” to any text, or use the unsubscribe link in any email. We’ll reply within one month, and there is normally no charge.

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, please tell us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.

8. Cookies and security

This site doesn’t use advertising or analytics cookies, and doesn’t track you across other websites. Our website security provider may set a strictly necessary cookie to protect the site from abuse. Data is encrypted in transit, and if a breach puts your data at risk we will tell you and the ICO where the law requires it.

9. Changes to this notice

We’ll update this notice when the way we use data changes, including at launch. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
